1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information we process when you:
- visit the Site,
- create an account,
- use the Services, or
- contact us for support.
The Services are intended for professional use (including by attorneys and law firms). They are not directed to children.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Contact Information
We collect information you provide such as:
- name,
- email address,
- authentication identifiers (e.g., Auth0 user ID).
2.2 Customer Content (Conversations and Uploads)
When you use the Services, you may submit:
- chat messages and prompts,
- documents and files (including potentially confidential client information),
- conversation items and attachments metadata.
Note: We may store conversation content to provide the Service. We generally store file metadata in our database (e.g., filename/title), while file contents may be processed by third parties (see Section 5).
2.3 Usage and Technical Data
We collect limited technical data such as:
- IP address,
- device/browser information,
- timestamps,
- service logs.
Logging: Our application logs may include filenames and document titles for operational troubleshooting. Our logs are retained for up to 90 days.
2.4 Payment Information
If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We receive limited billing information (e.g., payment status, plan, and transaction identifiers). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
2.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies primarily for:
- authentication and session management (e.g., secure/HttpOnly session cookies),
- security features.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Services,
- authenticate users and manage accounts,
- process payments and subscriptions,
- generate outputs you request,
- provide customer support,
- secure the Services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues,
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
No model training: We do not use Customer Content to train or fine-tune models.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to:
- Service providers/subprocessors who help us provide the Services (hosting, authentication, AI processing, and payments);
- Legal/Compliance: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety;
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
5. Subprocessors / Third-Party Processing
Depending on features you use, Customer Content may be processed by:
- primary AI infrastructure provider (currently OpenAI), for AI processing and file/vector search,
- Neon, for managed PostgreSQL database hosting,
- Auth0 (authentication and identity),
- CourtListener (optional citation checks/searches),
- Vercel, for application hosting and upload blob/object storage used during file ingestion,
- payment processor (for subscription billing/payment processing, if and when subscriptions are offered).
OCR: We do not use a separate OCR-only subprocessor. If OCR is enabled for a workflow, it is handled by our primary AI infrastructure provider.
6. Data Retention
- Conversations: configured with a default retention target of up to 90 days (unless deleted sooner by you), subject to operational and legal requirements.
- Logs: retained for up to 90 days.
- Deletion: If you delete a conversation, we delete it from your account and primary systems and delete associated AI file/vector assets used for that conversation as part of the deletion process.
Residual copies may persist for a limited period in backups, security logs, or third-party systems consistent with their retention practices.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including:
- encryption in transit (TLS),
- encryption at rest for stored data (including infrastructure-provider managed encryption controls),
- network access controls and firewalling,
- restricted administrative access.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- delete conversations within the product (deleting removes them from your account),
- request account deletion by emailing us.
To request access, deletion, or correction of account information, contact: logan.lathrop@yahoo.com.
